Sajha Real Estate Investment Company aims to be the first publicly listed real estate development company. Sajha Investment will be the first Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) in Nepal. Sajha aims to be a safe and transparent way to invest in income producing real estate. Sajha allows investors to invest and trade in small amounts and represent ownership in a real estate vehicle while leaving the management to professionals.
We are looking for a General Manager to oversee all staff, budgets, research and operations of our Company. General Manager responsibilities include formulating overall strategy, managing people and establishing policies. Key Responsibilities:
- Foster and maintain a positive image and reputation of the SAJHA.
- Maintain a positive and ethical work climate that is conducive to attracting, retaining and motivating top quality employees at all levels.
- Develop, or supervise the development of, and recommend to the Board a long-term strategy and vision for the SAJHA that leads to enhancement of unitholder value.
- Lead the implementation of the resolutions and the policies of the Board.
- Supervise day-to-day management of the SAJHA and ensure that the day-to-day business affairs of the SAJHA are appropriately managed.
- Strive to achieve the SAJHA’s financial and operating goals and objectives.
- Design or supervise the design and implementation of effective disclosure and internal controls.
- Maintain responsibility for the integrity of the financial reporting process.
- Ensure that the Sajha has an effective management team below the level of the GM and has a plan for management development and succession; and serve as chief spokesperson for the Sajha (including communication with unitholders of the Sajha and regulators), subject to the direction of the Board.
- Oversee recruitment and training of new employees.
- Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance.
- Direct the employee assessment process.
- Prepare regular reports for upper management.
- Design strategy and set goals for growth.
- Provide leadership and direction to the other members of the management team.
Requirements:
- A university degree on master’s in Business/ Management/Administration field.
- Experience & knowledge on Real estate of Nepal is considered advantageous.
- Should be familiar with IT and Digital products & Services.
- Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)
- Fluency in written and oral English and Nepali is required.
- Experience in planning and budgeting.
